I was in Boston on Monday.
I still haven’t really processed what happened. I may never. And that’s okay.
But for now I am choosing to focus on this.
One of my best friends, on her way to running a sub-4:00 Boston Marathon.
I wrote this on the church facebook page yesterday
RCC family …
Thank you for all of the kind thoughts and prayers. Everyone in the group I was with yesterday is okay, just shaken (and happily on their way home). I have also heard from several other RCC family members that were in Boston – they are all okay as well.
I am heartbroken. A day that should have been full of celebration and pride turned into a day of chaos and tragedy. Please take some time today to pray for the victims and their families.
We may not be able to stop evil in the world, but we can rise above it. May all your lives be a living expression of peace on earth.
Love and blessings to you all.
I will rise above the hate. The song does not end with, “Let there be peace on earth.” It ends with, “And let it begin with me.”
Congratulations Sarah! I am so ridiculously proud of you. <3
