If you follow me on Twitter, you know that I had the absolute privilege of hearing Nadia Bolz-Weber speak on Saturday!
I fell in love with Pastrix back when I was recovering from surgery and have been slightly enamored by Nadia Bolz-Weber ever since. And not in a “I’m going to start swearing a lot and go get a lot of tattoos” kind of way. More like in a “She’s right – I need to be un-apologetically true to who I am and who God is calling me to be” kind of way.
Though, in the interest of full disclosure, I should say that I do swear (though not from the pulpit and very rarely in front of church people) and I do have a tattoo. But that’s not really the point.
Nadia was AWESOME. She spoke for like four hours, did a Q&A and signed books afterwards. I cannot even imagine how exhausted she must have been.
If you haven’t read Pastrix yet, you have to have to HAVE TO. Seriously. Do it. She re-energized me in a way that I so desperately needed.
