I was looking at the altar on Saturday night and decided that – after the awesome stair climb that morning – I wanted a little pop of purple for the Rett Angels.
The flowers on the altar were actually memorial flowers, so I didn’t want to do too much and take away from the sacredness of the memorial. I thought that the touch of color on the fabric actually complimented the flowers nicely!
I originally just had the purple fabric, but with the dark wood, the fabric kind of got lost. I added the white fabric and it made a huge difference!
This was a great example of how you do not need much to make an altar special. This took two pieces of fabric and about three minutes of time. But it does add another element to worship that I think really appreciate.
